Big Norway maple

Norway Maple (Acer platanoides) grows like weed around here. They can take anything. Cut them down and in a few weeks they get new shots.

This one is 60 cm high and was dug up from the 'Jungle section' of my garden. The ground is rocky so the big roots grew horizontally. Due to mulchy topsoil there was lots of fine roots. It was collected weeks ago in dry weather so it was practically bare rooted. It has started to shoot so its going to be OK.
