After I had done the initial work on the dead wood I started the shaping of the branches. Spruces are very sensitive to this kind of work so I proceded carefully. I only bent the major branches using restraining wires, and didn't do any wiring of the smaller branches. This will be done later. In spring of 2007, the tree is growing vigorously, it only lost one small branch due to too severe bending (it broke off). I will repot it into a proper bonsai pot in august this year. progress will be reported.
