Topless pine

This Pinus Sylvestris was made from extremely poor material at the Walter Pall workshop last year. I basically cut of the top and used the three lowest branches. The top was jined. Hight of the tree is about 40-15 cm.

The tree was planted in a plastic box from Ikea. Not very pretty. The branch in the middle had died during winter, but it didn't do much for the design anyway.

Here the tree is re-poted in a pot from Jan Olav. I had to use a bigger pot than I wanted due to some large roots. When removing the old soil I discovered some nice nebari, but you can't really see it in the pictures. This is a slightly different front. The pot is not oval, its i round.
The top jin needs some fixing up to look more interesting. Next year I will make a shari going all the way down.

Virtual with the shari going all the way down.

Detail of the bark and jin. The bark is remarkable om this trees. Thick and flaky.
