Bending the trunk of a pine

Here is a pine I collected 2 years ago. This is how it looked just after I collected it.




In May this year during a workshop with Peter Warren, the trunk was bent in 2 places, this is how it looked after the 2 bends. I need to do one more bend in the upper part of the trunk.



I start by drilling a hole in the trunk where I want to bend it and then I wrap the trunk with self adhesive tape (so much more convinient than using raphia)



I did the bending by using a clamp. It's still attached on the photo below. Now I will let the tree rest. The branch on the left side will be cut off later, but I'll leave it for now to speed growth untill the tree has recovered from the trauma.
