Hawthorn

Here is a big hawthorn in an early stage of development. I did some rough carving this year. Next year I will carve it like crazy and improve the taper in the tree.

Berberis

Here is a berberis I dug last year. They sting like #$%&" and it really hurts. We`ll see if it is worth it in the long run. More from this one in the years to come.

Hawthorn

Here is an update on one of my hawthorns. I like it better in this smaller pot. It had some massive roots that I had to cut, it did not bother at all. Still a long way to go but I enjoy it.

Sumo privet

Here is a privet that I dug last year. It has a long way to go, but it is a massive thing. I will enjoy this in the years to come. I will post more pics as it develops.

The tree dug, rootball washed and ready for the grow box

Privet

Here is a privet that I dug from my garden a couple of years back. It has developed quite good and this year I will defoliate 2-3 times during the growing season to work on the ramification. One of my neighbors (an old chap) told me that the hedge was planted in the late 30`s. This is an old privet.

Maple

Here is one of my maples, also enjoying the warmth of the sun.

SPRING !!

Finally spring(ish) feelings in our freezing part of the world. The trees are waking up for real and there should no longer be any danger of frost. This english elm is basking in the sun.
